As the volunteer team photographer for most of my kids’ sports, I occasionally receive requests from parents and coaches to photograph other sports or teams. It’s certainly gratifying to receive these requests as they are a validation that the work I’m doing is resonating with the players, parents, and coaches in the community.
If you’re interested in hiring me to photograph one (or more) of your games – at any age group – I’ve attached a pricing schedule below.
But First A Little Bit About Myself
TL;DR – Jump Straight to Price ListI’ve been doing sports and event photography as a side-gig for over 15 years, mostly as a photographer for Jacksonville.com. I’m a computer programmer by profession. Photographing sports and action has always been a terrific outlet to compliment a decidedly low-excitement office environment. With Jacksonville.com I photographed almost every sport at almost every level, as well as several concerts and other performances. As a photographer, those are the types of events I love photographing the most.
The relationships I made with Jacksonville.com began opening doors for corporate clients, family photos, and other portraits. Admittedly, they weren’t as fun as sports and concerts, but I continued to take them on anyway. I started finding I was giving up more and more sports and concerts for headshots and portraits. I also realized that my 5-day work week began to feel like a 7-day work week. After a while, I went back almost exclusively to sports and events only, and that’s where I am now. And as my own kids have gotten older and more active in sports, I’ve shifted my focus mainly to them.
Types of Photography That I Do
If you need someone to photograph your game, school play, or other performance, let me know, and I’d love to do it.
However, if you need a corporate headshot, family photo, or senior portrait session, I’ll be happy to help you find a great photographer who would love to do it. 🙂
So the reason I offer game & performance photography at reasonable prices is simply because that’s what I love doing the most. And I’m confident that I will make some great images for you.
Thanks so much to all of you who have reached out to inquire about hiring me to photograph your games.

The Fine Print
Basically a few notes about what you can expect from me on game/performance day:
- Multiple Game Packages are per team/per season
- All photos will be delivered for digital download in high resolution. I generally deliver between 75 and 150 images. Possibly more, very rarely fewer.
- I’ll arrive 1 hour before game/performance, not only to get a feel for the venue, but also to capture pre-game warm-ups & activities if available, photograph the entire game, and also some post-game depending on the mood of the team.
- Number of players photographed – I cannot guarantee a photo of every single player, or a specific number of images per player, although if instructed I’ll focus on specific players as much as I can.
- If the game includes Senior Night activities (or 8th grade for Middle School), I’ll include those photos at no extra charge.
- Parent or coach is responsible for securing field/court/media access for me to photograph the event from the sidelines.
- You will receive a perpetual non-commercial use license to the images. Basically you can download them, print them, share them on social, use them to promote the team or in your yearbook, etc, but you cannot sell them or make money from them.
Thanks again to everyone who’s reached out to me about making images of your events. If you are interested in having me out to photograph one of your games or performances, please don’t hesitate to Contact Me.
